The PhD Program in Education for international students is conducted entirely in English and spans four years of full-time study. It began admitting students in 2014 and currently offers Five majors: Comparative Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Technology, Higher Education, and Educational Economics. 1. Majors
Curriculum and Instruction is a specialized area of study within education that focuses on the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational curricula and instructional practices. A PhD in Curriculum and Instruction prepares scholars to conduct research, develop innovative teaching strategies, and contribute to educational policy and practice.
Educational Technology prepares educators and researchers to leverage technology effectively in educational settings. The program emphasizes research, practical application, and a deep understanding of how technology can enhance teaching and learning.
Comparative education is a field of study that examines educational systems, processes, and outcomes across different countries and cultures. It aims to understand how various factors—such as social, economic, political, and cultural contexts—affect education and learning.
Higher Education aims to cultivate high-level academic talents who have a command of the laws governing higher education, understand its development trends, are capable of employing interdisciplinary methods to conduct cutting-edge research, and are competent in university teaching, research, and educational administration.
Educational Economics focuses on the economic aspects of education systems, policies, and practices. This interdisciplinary field combines principles from economics, education, sociology, and public policy to analyze how resources are allocated in education and how these allocations affect educational outcomes.
